Sensitization Workshop on Climate Change and Biodiversity

A sensitization workshop on climate change and biodiversity was conducted at Salwan Boys’ Senior Secondary School on 05 May 2026. It was organized by TERI in collaboration with the Department of Environment, GNCT of Delhi for 115 Eco-club students. The workshop aimed to raise awareness about the impact of climate change on biodiversity and inspire students to become responsible Paryavaran Sanrakshaks (environment protectors).
The programme began with a multimedia session featuring the film ‘Story of Red Dot’, which highlighted important issues related to biodiversity. This was followed by an engaging discussion that encouraged students to reflect on environmental concerns.
A technical session on “Trees, LiFE and River Abound in Delhi” provided valuable insights into the relationship between local environmental challenges and global climate change. The session helped students understand the importance of sustainable practices in their daily lives.
To reinforce learning, an interactive quiz was conducted, allowing students to actively participate and test their understanding of key concepts. The workshop concluded with a creative assignment, where students were given a poster-making task to further express their ideas and commitment towards environmental conservation.
The workshop proved to be highly informative and engaging, leaving students motivated to contribute positively towards protecting the environment.
