SPORTS & ATHLETICS

Physical activity is an important aspect of our students’ development, promoting discipline, resilience, and teamwork. Our sports program promotes physical fitness and teamwork through activities like volleyball, athletics, basketball, cricket, yoga and wall climbing. Team work, leadership and sportsmanship are important traits that are best inculcated through sports. Salwan Boys Sr Sec School strongly believes in the importance of games in students’ life and leaves no stones unturned for the promotion of sports. Experienced coaches impart professional training to the students on a regular basis.

NCC (NATIONAL CADET CORPS)

National Cadet Corps (NCC) – A Gateway to Leadership and Discipline:

At Salwan Boys Sr Sec School, we take immense pride in our NCC program and the positive changes it brings to our students’ lives. The NCC offers an unparalleled opportunity for students to learn and grow outside the traditional classroom environment. With a strong emphasis on physical fitness, mental toughness, and leadership, cadets are groomed to become responsible citizens and future leaders.

Our school’s NCC unit ensures that cadets are exposed to a wide range of activities that contribute to their overall growth:

Many of our alumni who were once NCC cadets have gone on to pursue successful careers in the military, public service, education, and business, attributing much of their early success to the strong foundation laid during their time in the Corps.

ARTS & CRAFT

Students can join our arts & craft classes to express their creativity and enhance their talents. At Salwan Boys Sr Sec School, we believe that art and craft play a vital role in nurturing creativity, critical thinking, and self-expression among our students. Students are encouraged to experiment and find their unique style while learning fundamental techniques. Whether using watercolours, acrylics, or clay, our students are taught to express their ideas and emotions through art, helping them to build confidence in their creative abilities. By engaging in these creative activities, students learn to appreciate the beauty in the world, understand different cultures, and express themselves in meaningful ways.

ACADEMIC ENRICHMENT

We believe that education goes beyond the classroom, and academic enrichment is an essential part of fostering a well-rounded and engaging learning experience. A Holistic Approach to Learning Academic enrichment at Salwan Boys Sr Sec School involves a variety of activities that challenge and stimulate students’ minds. Our science and math club, social science club, Eco-club, mental maths club, legal literacy club and ATL workshops help students develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and presentation skills.
