Art-Integrated Learning: A Pathway to Holistic Learning
Education is not just about academics; it’s about nurturing well-rounded individuals who are equipped with both knowledge and creativity. One of the most effective ways we achieve this is through art-integrated education.
Art-integrated education is an innovative teaching approach where art and creative expression are used as powerful tools to enhance learning in various subjects. Whether through visual arts, music, dance, drama, or other artistic forms, this approach encourages students to use creative thinking and problem-solving skills across disciplines.
Art-Integrated Learning-
In our classrooms, art is seamlessly woven into the curriculum, enhancing lessons and creating a more dynamic and engaging learning experience. Teachers use artistic projects and activities that relate to the subjects at hand, such as Creating visual presentations to understand historical events, composing music that complements science topics about sound and waves, role-playing historical figures to better grasp social studies concepts, Art-based problem-solving to teach math concepts like geometry and symmetry
Our art-integrated curriculum empowers students to learn by doing and thinking in creative ways that foster a love of learning. Through these experiences, we aim to inspire curiosity and help students develop not just academically, but as innovative and resilient individuals ready to face the world.
Art Integrated projects for classes VI to XII have been implemented in the annual pedagogical plan as per the directives of CBSE to make Teaching-Learning Competency-Based and Joyful. The Students research on the given topics using readily available resources thereby imbibing Indian ethos.
