On 25 May 2025, 45 students from Class VII and IX of Salwan Boys Senior Secondary School visited Rashtrapati Bhavan located in New Delhi. This visit was part of an educational endeavour to educate the students about India’s rich history and seat of governance.
On arrival, the students were warmly welcomed by the liaison staff and taken on a guided tour of the Rashtrapati Bhavan. The students were shown the grand entrance, Durbar Hall, Ashok Hall, and the Long Drawing Room. The nominated guide explained the importance and relevance of each of these. The students were amazed by the beautiful design, artwork, and historical relevance of the structures.
A special part of the visit was the Rashtrapati Bhavan Museum Complex. Here, the students saw displays related to the past Presidents, the freedom movement, and learnt how Indian democracy has evolved over time. The interactive displays and the rare photographs with their short descriptions made the learning fun and interesting for the students.
This trip was a great opportunity for our students to understand the rich history and heritage of our country.
