Salwan Boy’s Senior Secondary School organised an educational tour to the National War Memorial and India Gate for the students of Class VII on 12 December 2025. Around 110 students, accompanied by four teachers, participated in the visit.
At the National War Memorial, students were deeply impressed by its circular design, which gently guides visitors towards the Amar Chakra, where the eternal flame burns in honour of the fallen heroes. As they walked through the memorial, they observed the Veerta Chakra, which displays bronze murals depicting acts of bravery. These murals portray significant battles and operations such as the Battle of Gangasagar, the Battle of Longewala, and Operation Trident, helping students understand India’s military valour through visual storytelling. The thoughtfully designed memorial, conceptualised by the renowned sculptor Shri Ram Sutar Ji, left the students filled with pride and respect.
The students also enjoyed time at the Children’s Park and later visited India Gate, another historic war memorial. The visit was both educational and inspiring, instilling a strong sense of patriotism among the students.
