Legal Literacy Session on Constitutional Rights and Civic Responsibilities
Salwan Boys Sr Sec School organised a legal awareness session on 13 August 2026 for the students of Class VI under the Legal Literacy Club. The session was attended by 80 students and was conducted by Ms. Pooja Kaushik, LAC, an advocate from Tis Hazari Court.
The session focused on Constitutional Rights, Fundamental Duties and Civic Responsibilities. Students were introduced to important Fundamental Rights, including the Right to Freedom, Right to Education and Freedom of Speech and Expression. They were also sensitised about the importance of respecting the rights of others and using their freedoms responsibly.
The resource person also discussed the importance of protecting children from child marriage, following the law, respecting the Constitution, and understanding one’s duties as a responsible citizen. Students were encouraged to contribute positively to society, respect diversity, uphold equality and work towards building a responsible and empowered nation.
