Two students of Class XI from Salwan Boys Senior Secondary School, Ankush Singh Rawat and Sanidhya Kumar Dwivedi, along with Ms. Snigdha Singh, Eco Club Incharge, participated in the Van Mahotsav celebrations organised by the Government of Delhi on July 3, 2025, at Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan.
The event was attended by scores of students from various schools across Delhi. The Honourable Chief Minister of Delhi, Ms. Rekha Gupta, addressed the gathering and appreciated the students’ enthusiasm for environmental conservation. She urged the students to plant a tree in the name of their mother under the campaign ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’, promoting afforestation and restoring ecological balance.
Students took a solemn pledge to safeguard and nurture the environment. The event aimed to instill awareness about the significance of trees and nature preservation. It was a grand success, leaving students with a deep sense of responsibility towards Mother Earth.
