Remembering Shri Shiv Dutt Salwan: A Visionary Educator (29.10.1929 – 4.12.2024)

Shri Shiv Dutt Salwan Ji, fondly referred to as ‘Bade Sahib,’ was a visionary deeply committed to the cause of “Education for All.” Inspired by his father, Pandit Girdhari Lal Ji Salwan, he dedicated his life to making quality education accessible to everyone, especially the underprivileged.

A firm believer in holistic education, Bade Sahib empowered students to reach their full potential and become compassionate and critically thinking individuals. His dedication to the underprivileged and poor was unflinching. He transformed Salwan Education Trust (SET) into a thriving network of nine educational institutions across Delhi NCR.

Bade Sahib had a special affection for Salwan Boys Senior Secondary School. He regularly attended school events, congratulated sports teams, and emphasized the importance of a well-rounded education. For Bade Sahib, the power of education lay in its ability to shape societies and uplift lives. This was the bedrock of his steadfast commitment to the idea of “Education for All.”
