An awareness session was conducted at Salwan Boys Sr. Sec. School, as an activity of the Legal Literacy Club in collaboration with the Central District Legal Services Authority (CDLSA), Tis Hazari Courts, Delhi, under the initiatives of the National Legal Services Authority (NALSA) and the Delhi State Legal Services Authority (DSLSA).
The session was held on 23 July 2026 under the DSLSA campaign “Conversations on Touch: Protecting the Tender Hearts” for around 90 students of Class VII. The topic of the session was Prevention of Child Sexual Abuse, Safe and Unsafe Touch, and Awareness on the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012.
The programme was conducted by Ms. Preeti Thakur, Legal Aid Counsel (LAC), who explained the concepts of safe and unsafe touch, children’s rights, and the importance of reporting unsafe situations in a simple and age-appropriate manner. The students actively participated in the interactive session and clarified their doubts.
